It has been tested that a good way to become a better musician is to master songwriting first. Many artists who became the best in their field took this route - wrote songs for other artists while commencing a solo career. Michael Wilson Hardy, aka Hardy, is among those artists in the country music scene. The confidence to do this came from a strong background in songwriting, as he got a degree from it.
The 2010s were years when Hardy tested the waters in the Nashville country music scene. He first struck a friendship with the duo of Florida Georgia Line in 2012. He soon contributed his songwriting for their songs. His first hit came with the Country chart top song "Up Down" for Morgan Wallen. He co-wrote the song with Brad Clawson with support from Florida Georgia Line. This success led to him signing with Big Loud Records.
After this, his collaborations with big names in the scene came to be. He caused a frenzy when he managed to unite ten of the biggest country music names in 2019 for his "Hixtape, Vol. 1." Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, Tracy Lawrence, Jake Owen, Trace Adkins, Joe Diffie, Zakk Wylde, Cole Swindell, Dustin Lynch, and Morgan Wallen all lent their voices for this record.
As the 2020s came, it was finally ripe for solo studio album releases. He began with "A Rock" in 2020. This was followed by "The Mockingbird & the Crow."
It would be jarring if Hardy came out on tour without other artists accompanying him. His "Quit Tour" will be supported by Kip Moore, Ella Langley, Travis Denning, and Stephen Wilson Jr.
Bro-country would not be as flourishing as it is today with Kip Moore. His song "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck" is among those who started the country subgenre. He freshened up his discography with "Wild World" in 2019, which still holds as his best album ever.
Travis Dennings specializes in the fusion of hard rock and country. This can be heard in his song "Dirt Road Down."
Ella Langley and Stephen Wilson Jr are rising country artists. Langley's country pop is a throwback to the classics. Her song "Country Boy's Dream Girl" broke out last year. Wilson Jr. pushes through with his outlaw style, which is noticeable in his new album "Søn of Dad."
Hardy, Kip Moore, Travis Denning, and Ella Langley will be at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on June 27. Buy tickets now!
