This summer two of the biggest names in rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd & Bad Company, are teaming up for a massive summer tour! This will be the second consecutive tour together after last year's successful outing. The two bands have been rock mainstays for over 3 decades having released a multitude of classic rock hits. Don't miss these guys live at the Susquehanna Bank Center on July 18th! Tickets on sale now.
Lynyrd Skynyrd are known and loved for popularizing the southern hard-rock genre during the 1970s. The band formed in 1966 as the 'The Pretty Ones' in Florida and went through two name changes before landing with Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1969. The band gained notoriety on their live performances and signature tunes "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Free Bird".
Bad Company are an English rock group who formed in 1973 by two former Free band members — singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke. With former Led Zeppelin manager Peter Grant representing them, Bad Company enjoyed huge success throughout the 1970s. Many of their singles, such as "Bad Company", "Can't Get Enough", "Good Lovin' Gone Bad", and "Feel Like Makin' Love", remain some of their most popular releases. Their incredible hits remain staples of classic rock!
“Last year’s tour with our friends Lynryd Skynyrd was a fantastic time for all,” said Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers in a press release for the tour. “We’re looking forward to spending ten dates with them and our fans again this summer.”
Skynyrd vocalist Johnny Van Zant echoed those sentiments, saying, “We’re looking forward to being out on tour with our friends, Bad Company. Last year was great! If you want to see good rock n roll, come check this out.”
