Freedom Mortgage Pavilion Rules

The Freedom Mortgage Pavilion (formerly known as the Waterfront Music Pavilion) is the number one amphitheatre in Camden. The rules are in place for the safety and well being of all patrons attending events.

For the safety of all event attendees and performers, there is a set of rules and policies in place. It is advisable to read through the full details to make sure you do not bring prohibited items to the venue and to help ensure you have an enjoyable experience at the venue. 

Below is an overview of some of the most important information you should know about before you attend an event at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, NJ.

Tickets

Access to the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion is mobile-entry only, so it is important that you download your tickets to your phone before you set off for your event.

Prohibited items 

For safety and security reasons, the venue has a list of strictly prohibited items. The venue management team and event security may refuse entry or refuse to allow any items deemed to be a security risk into the venue. There may be different rules based on the event you are attending, which you can check through the ticket provider.

These are the prohibited items listed in the general venue’s guidelines:

» Alcohol

» Audio or video recorders

» Bags larger than 6” x 9” and clear bags larger than 12” x 6” x 12”

» Cans

» Coolers

» Chains (ex. wallet chains)

» Fireworks

» Footballs

» Frisbees

» Glass bottles

» Glow wands

» GoPro cameras

» Illegal drugs

» Inflatable chairs or other inflatable objects

» iPads or tablets

» Large blankets (must be no larger than 3’ x 5’)

» Large umbrellas

» Laser pointers, pen lights or pointer lights

» Lawn chairs, lounge or tri-fold chairs

» Levitation sticks

» Pets (except service dogs)

» Picnic baskets

» Poi/rave Balls

» Professional cameras with detachable lenses or cameras with lenses that extend more than 1″

» Rave sticks

» Selfie sticks

» Signage over 11″ x 8″

» Strollers

» Weapons or sharp objects of any kind

Historically, lawn chairs were permitted into the venue, but this is no longer the case, so please be aware of this rule change if you have previously taken chairs into the venue.

Bag policy

Only bags that meet the bag policy requirements will be allowed into the venue. All bags being taken into the venue will be subject to a bag search and clear bags are recommended to speed up the security checking process. 

The following bags are allowed into the venue:

» Small bags such as clutch bags and fanny packs no larger than 6” x 9”

» Clear bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”

Alcohol policy

Event attendees are not permitted to bring their own alcohol into the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion. Any alcohol will be confiscated at the security checks.

The venue has several stalls serving alcoholic beverages and ID is required when purchasing alcohol. Guests should bring their driver’s license or state ID to provide proof of age when buying alcohol inside the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion.

Smoking policy

Smoking is permitted within the designated outdoor smoking areas, which are located in the plaza areas. Patrons are not permitted to smoke in other areas of the amphitheater – this includes all forms of smoking and vaping. Smoking is permitted on the lawn section but if nearby guests complain, you should refrain from smoking or vaping in the area.
